Nostalgia brings together the work of nine Canadian artists whose practices span painting, fibre art, and sculpture. Though distinct in approach, each artist engages with memory as a living material — something that can be held, reworked, unravelled, or rebuilt. In these works, nostalgia is not merely a longing for what once was, but a way of understanding the present: a lens through which personal histories, cultural inheritances, and collective experiences are revisited and transformed.

Across the exhibition, familiar forms appear softened by time, and textures seem charged with stories that linger just below the surface. A brushstroke becomes a trace of a remembered place; a woven thread resembles the quiet persistence of a family tradition; an object cast in sculptural form takes on the weight of something lost, or the comfort of something found again. These works remind us that nostalgia is neither passive sentiment nor escapism.
