MINUTIAE

Group Exhibition + Fundraiser

Minutiae Sculptural exhibition

Opening Reception May 15, 6–8 pm
Exhibition continues through May 24, 2026

Location: THIS Gallery
108 East Broadway (alley entrance), Vancouver, BC

THIS Gallery presents Minutiae, a high-energy, small works sculpture exhibition featuring over fifty artists from across Canada. Working within a fixed scale parameter, Minutiae gathers over 100 artworks for a fundraiser to support THIS Gallery.

Each work is offered at $200, creating an accessible entry point for collectors while directly supporting the artists and the ongoing programming of the gallery.

THIS Gallery is community-funded in the truest sense.

We don’t rely on stable grant funding, and we’re not a non-profit. What we do instead is present 20+ exhibitions a year, often featuring dozens of artists at a time—because we believe more artists deserve space.

Minutiae is one of the ways we sustain that.

Every purchase directly supports the gallery, the programming, and the artists we work with.

Installed in one continuous row that circumnavigates the gallery, the exhibition transforms small scale into abundance — a dense and celebratory array of objects that invites immediate and focused engagement. Installed collectively, the works resist hierarchy. Each object operates independently, while also participating in a broader installation shaped by constraint, proximity, and maximalism.

Opening night will be structured for momentum. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with sales beginning immediately.

No pre-sales. No holds. First come, first served. In-person buyers may take their purchase home immediately.

Remaining works will be available both in person and online until the exhibition closes on Sunday, May 24.

By equalizing scale and price, Minutiae creates a dynamic collecting environment where emerging and established artists share the same platform. The result is an exhibition that emphasizes accessibility, immediacy, and the pleasure of acquiring something small but significant.
